Working in West Sussex
The county asks a lot of different things from a fire safety provider. Crawley and the area around Gatwick are dense with offices, warehouses and hotels. The coast, from Worthing through Littlehampton to Bognor Regis, has a high number of care homes, guest houses and converted flats. And market towns such as Horsham, Chichester and East Grinstead are full of older and listed buildings that need a more careful approach.
Whatever the premises, the duty is the same: under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the responsible person must have a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment, and fire-fighting equipment that is properly maintained. We carry out assessments to the PAS 79 methodology and service extinguishers to BS 5306.
Being based in Mid Sussex, we're well placed for the whole county. Site surveys are free, and we only ever recommend what your premises need.
